Reiki Symbols
Yesterday, I sat down with my mum to delve into the world of Reiki symbols. This experience came two years after attaining my level 2 in Reiki.
I’ll confess, back then, my interest in Reiki was lukewarm, and the significance of utilizing the symbols eluded me. But now, having witnessed the tangible benefits that Reiki can offer, my perspective has completely shifted.
Timing
The timing couldn’t have been better. Later in the day, I began experiencing intense period pain – something I’ve struggled with for years. The sharp
discomfort, lasting about a minute, felt debilitating, draining my energy with each passing second.
Seeking relief, I retreated to bed, soothing ambient sounds enveloping me in Trauma and Healing meditation. As I lay there, I concentrated on my breath
and began breathing in to the pain. Placing my hands in Gassho, I silently called for guidance, healing, and protection.
Cho Ku Rei
With intention, I invoked the first symbol Cho Ku Rei, directing its energy towards my aching abdomen. Reciting the mantra three times. I then rested my hands gently at my sides.
My Experience
To my amazement, the sharp pain gradually transformed into a comforting warmth, gently lulling me into a state of
tranquility. Before I knew it, I had drifted off to sleep, wrapped in a cocoon of peace.
